# Overview

The **Brand Protocol** is a layer 3 blockchain built to be cross-compatible across major L2s including Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon. It is optimized for high performance, low fees, and the needs of brands large and small. The network is designed to provide low and stable gas fees, privacy controls, and the customization that brands require. Together, these provide the best platform for brands looking to develop web3 loyalty programs and transfer existing programs on-chain.
